Clifton Jon Abbott, 65, ended a long battle with cancer on April 9, 2023, at his Ocala, Florida home with his family by his side.
Cliff was born July 30, 1957 in Leesburg, Florida to Robert and Josephina Abbott.
Cliff enjoyed spending time with his wife and their cat and dog. He was a loving and caring husband and thought the world of his children.
He was a dedicated Sergeant at the Department of Corrections since 1974, having retired once and returning because he enjoyed it so much.
His impact will be lasting for years to come.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Thresa, by his children Benjamin (Shannon) Mason, Joseph (Heather) Mason, Sarah (Harold) Ross,
Daniel (Raquel) Abbott, Elizabeth (Kyle) Schrimsher, Rebekah (Derrek) Kee, Michele(Tyler) Smith, his sisters Barbara (Doug) Stewart,
Susan (John) Wolf, and 23 grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be held by family at a later date. Flowers or donations are to be made to:
