Diane Davis-Wood, 67, of Jacksonville Beach, FL passed away September 18th, 2023, following a short illness. Diane was born to Jim and Barbara Davis in Hamilton, Ontario on October 17th, 1955 and was the oldest of four siblings.
Diane grew up in Ancaster, Ontario, graduating first from Ancaster Secondary and subsequently Mohawk College as an Early Childhood Educator. Prior to becoming a full time mother and homemaker she worked at McMaster University Child Care Centre. Diane and her family left Ancaster in 1998, moving first to Bermuda and then Florida in 2001.
Diane was a beloved daughter and adoring mother. She was the most kind-hearted, calm, and caring woman most of us will ever encounter. She thought more of others than herself and was always eager to help and rarely willing to ask. She celebrated the successes of others while downplaying her own. We will all miss her dearly until we are together again. We rejoice in the comfort of knowing Diane is now with her Heavenly Father for eternity.
Diane was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, her daughter Hayley Wood, son Harrison (Marguerite) Wood, brother Ted and sisters Shari and Jeannine Davis. Diane is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Although I hadn’t known Diane that long I considered her a good friend. I always enjoyed our time together. She was a generous and caring person. I will truly miss her.
Diane was a beautiful lady, both inside and out. We will always miss her yet feel honored to have shared the gift of her friendship. May her angel wings shine for all whenever her presence is missed. ❤
I am so sad and sorry to hear of Diane's passing. We went to high-school together and also met by chance in Florida. Every time that I was with Diane it was so clear to me of how much she loved her kids and family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences xo
She was and is my inspiration.
I will heal slowly and in unexpected steps. Losing her is MY selfish loss, but I can miss her so very unselfishly 💕.
Our prayers are with you all.
Diane was the first person I met at Valencia. I saw her out walking Sadie while I was walking Lambchop and Maxie. I immediately gravitated to them. I remember thinking, "What a sweet dog and what a warm and beautiful lady." We made plans and were close friends and confidantes from then on. We would have tea in the afternoons, church and brunch on Sundays, coffee at Foxtail often, and yoga twice a week. We stayed busy, enjoying each other's company. My heart is broken. "Shocked and saddened" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel to have lost the most beautiful and kind soul I've ever had the privilege and pleasure of having as a friend. Heaven gained an Angel.

I am heartbroken to hear of Diane's passing. She was loved and admired by so many here at Regal Palms. Her fight and determination were admirable. She always had a hand to lend, a shoulder to lean on, and smile for everyone who had the great pleasure of crossing her path.
Thank you for sharing this remarkable lady with me. She will forever be remembered and loved.

Tammy just sent this information regarding Diane's passing. She was (and is) a gentle soul with an endearing smile. I am so glad to have known her and her sweetness.
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches. I knew Diane when she was at Regal Palms. We spent time in a group interested in the same things. Everybody at Regal admired and respected her. She was always quietly doing something for somebody.
Parents are not supposed to bury their children. A piece of my of my heart is gone, only alive forever in my memory and the rest of my heart. With her Dad now in heavenly peace
