  7. I want to thank you again David for getting in touch with me and letting me know of Don’s passing.  I am sorry I forgot my manners to give you my condolence.  I was shocked and a little upset at the same time.  My condolence to you too Mark. Donald and I were best friends back in the 7th and 8th grade and then later in life up to his passing.  I can say Don was truly unique in that he didn’t have an ounce of meanest in his whole body.  He had great empathy for all those going through hard-times.  Younger days, he was a pretty good first baseman in baseball.  We enjoyed listening to top forty songs and he became a good base guitar player, even playing the jam to songs by Earth, Wing, and Fire.  He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Batman.  He also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Honolulu, Hawaii for several visits with me and my family.  I could always count on him to be there if I needed him, someone to talk to and help me through tough times.  He will be missed but without sadness.  That is because throughout his life, he had God in his heart.  I know he is having better days now, now that he is with God. – Joel
