Jose Carrasquillo, 89 passed away on February 14, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones at home in Alachua, FL.
Jose was born in Cayey, PR. He came to NY at approximate age of 20 yrs old and started work as a Delivery Truck Driver for several years. Then he went on to be a yellow cab driver in the cities of NY for many years. He then retired from being a Doorman in a Luxury Apartment Building in Manhattan after approximately 15 years. Both Jose and Conchita recently moved to Alachua, FL with their daughter Annette and her husband Kenneth.
Jose is survived by his Wife of 59 years Conchita, 4 daughters – Yolanda & husband Mike in PR, Miriam & husband Floyd in AZ, Annette & Husband Kenny in FL, and Joanne & husband Luis in NY. 12 Grandchildren – Joey, Laura, Eric Jr, Jazmine, Patricia, Anastasia, Bridget, Deesha, Migdalia, Ramon (Tito), Katherine and Gabriel, 6 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren Stacie, Selena, Melissa and 7 Step-Great-grandsons.






Every since I was a young girl you welcomed me into the family and treated me as one of your own. You will never be forgotten Joe. I will always remember the last time you came and sat with me at my post and bought me a Mr. Softy Ice-cream cup, and you told everyone that I was raised in your house. 😊
Your journey here on earth is over, but your memory will live on forever.
You can now rest in Eternal Peace knowing, that they are together in one place (I know you know what I mean).
Thank you for allowing me to be the only friend that was allowed to sleep over all those years ago…I never really left though.
