Shirley Mae Jones, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Ocala, Fl. on Thursday October 3, 2019. Born Shirley Mae Thompson to Harold and Florence, on August 23, 1926 in Evergreen park , Ill., Shirley was a world traveler by the side of her husband Erwin Jones (m. October 12, 1949). Shirley has called many places home in her time, including Chicago and Palatine Ill. , Louisville, Ky. and for the past 25 years, Ocala, Fl. She is predeceased by her husband Erwin (d. February 14, 1973), and her son Daniel (d.November 28, 1983). She issurvived by her sister, Dorothy Vlazny, four children; Susan, William, Richard (m.Lisa Jones), and Nanci, as well as six grandchildren; Nancy Hoffman )m.Robert Hoffman), Michelle Eagler (m.James Eagler), Elisabeth Rosner (m.Dave Rosner), Danielle Talbot (m.Adam Talbot(, and Larkin and Shelby Hart. Shirley will also be missed by her many family members including numerous nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and close friends.






Grandma, this past week I realized how much we are alike. I thought it came from just the Italian side, apparently not. You will be great missed. I hope you meet my BFF because I think you would like her. Enjoy the view from up there, because I now know, it is AMAZING!!!! Love you grandma!! Nancy
Mom had many people who loved and will miss her. She left a large legacy and I am truly grateful for my life and that of my children, as we came from her.
